Statement from C̕awak ʔqin Forestry regarding the court’s decision to renew an injunction application for TFL 44

August 31, 2026 – Port Alberni, B.C. – The Supreme Court of British Columbia on Friday granted Tsawak-qin Forestry Limited Partnership’s (C̕awak ʔqin Forestry) application to renew an injunction that prohibits anyone from interfering with, or blocking access to, the permitted harvest area of TFL 44 and any road within the injunction area.

We have taken these steps to ensure the health and safety of workers, contractors and members of the public.

We respectfully request anyone having knowledge of this order adhere to the Court’s decision and the terms of the interim injunction. This includes not blocking access to roads and not interfering with C̕awak ʔqin Forestry’s operations.

To be clear, the RCMP has been authorized by the Court to take enforcement action against anyone who contravenes the terms of the injunction.
